A message from Sr. Mary Gemma
On February 11, 2023, I knelt at the tomb of St. Cecilia in Rome. I had such a strong desire to record a second album, and I begged Cecilia’s prayers to seek God’s will and to sing my song just as she did. Here we are, 3 years later, with this wonderful joint project, so much more than I hoped. I am so thankful to Sr. Philomena Clare for sharing her beautiful songs and joining me for the adventure of recording! I love singing together! We are both so thankful to all of the people who have supported us and helped this album come to fruition, especially Dan Bozek. Dan, we are grateful for the many hours you have spent recording us, eating sandwiches with us, and making us sound good! Thank you for helping us feel so comfortable behind the mic!
Thank you to Sr. June Benedicta, Alina, and Elsa for adding such gorgeous music with your instruments! It wouldn’t be the same without you. Thank you to Sr. Therese Marie and Sr. Sarah Rose for all that you’ve added visually to the album. It is so “us” and we can’t wait to share the beauty you have contributed! Finally, thank you to our sisters, families and friends who have listened to our music and encouraged us along the way. Father, you have given us so much, so we entrust this into your hands. Everything we have is yours!
