Our Daily Schedule

His mercies are new each morning

In our daily life, all of our work and ministry finds its source in our prayer, so our schedule follows a contemplative-active rhythm. Below is a typical day at Our Lady of Sorrows Monastery. All of our houses follow the same rhythm, although the elements might look different depending on the specific mission and needs of each house. On Wednesdays, there is more time for silence and solitude, so a separate schedule is also included for that day. Sundays are days of contemplation, rest, free time, and fraternity, but the communal prayer schedule is similar to that on a typical day.  We keep silence every day from 9:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. and we exercise four times a week for 30-40 minutes.

During the summer, our prayer times begin a bit later. Check the Mass schedule page to find these times.
